Empowering Neurodiversity through Assistive Tech

Parliamentary Influence: Curia Dyslexia Commission

The Curia Dyslexia Commission’s report has been a beacon of hope for dyslexic students across the UK. With a focus on early intervention, teacher training, and assistive technology, the report highlights how these tools can transform education. Empowering Tech Group played a crucial role in shaping these recommendations, not only influencing policy but also igniting conversations about how schools can better support neurodivergent students.

CAUSES WE CARE ABOUT

  • Our support for the British Dyslexia Association is unwavering! From sponsoring their invaluable Helpline, co-hosting global awareness campaign #GoRedForDyslexia to running a marathon to fundraise for their crucial work in the UK dyslexia community.

  • The National Association for Special Educational Needs (nasen). We’re thrilled to have contributed to their impressive roster of evidence-based resources with the newly-launched Assistive Technology Mini Guide.
  • We took to the skies for an aerobatic charity fundraising flight to raise much-needed awareness and donations for The Hardman Trust, an organisation supporting people on long sentences to take their next steps in life.

  • We're proud to have launched Succeed With Dyslexia in 2019. A social movement promoting a greater understanding of dyslexia and other learning differences through awareness campaigns.
  • Our CEO and co-founder, Jack Churchill, is a Chair of BATA (British Assistive Technology Association) because the not-for-profit's mission is very close to his heart. Jack is proud to support the campaigns and messages promoted by BATA - from advocating for their members' needs, to challenging the stigma surrounding assistive technology in the community
